How it works

Tagging every giveaway winner in an Instagram reply means adding @ to an Excel column and splitting the list so each comment stays under Instagram’s mention and character limits. This Instagram comment mention batch splitter is a macro-free alternative for bulk @ tags: paste the list, get copy-ready reply chunks in the browser. Nothing is uploaded.

Paste winner IDs (one per line) or drop a TXT/CSV from Excel. Values that already have @, Instagram profile URLs, and cells like Name @handle are normalized.
Header rows (id, username), duplicates, Korean display names without a handle, and reserved paths (reel, watch) are skipped.
Choose the platform. Instagram comments cap at 2,200 characters; YouTube comments at 10,000. Set tags per comment with the slider (5–10 is the usual Instagram range so notifications are less likely to drop).
Optionally prepend a congrats line on the first batch only, or on every batch. If the intro plus tags would overflow, the tool automatically takes fewer handles in that chunk.
Each split box has one-click copy. After you copy one, the next comment is highlighted so you can paste replies in order.

The splitter does not “pretty-wrap” text. It enforces both the per-comment tag count and Unicode character length, which is the difference between a generic “add @” snippet and a usable event-winner mention workflow.

Does this post comments for me?

No. It only builds text in your browser. You paste each chunk into Instagram or YouTube yourself. That keeps it a safe alternative to comment-spam macros.

How many people can I tag in one Instagram comment?

Instagram’s notify-everyone behavior changes, but marketers usually stay at 5–10 mentions per reply. The default is 8 (slider 1–20). Batches also stop at 2,200 characters, so a long intro can shrink the first chunk.

What if my spreadsheet has names and links mixed together?

@handle tokens and instagram.com/username URLs are extracted. A hangul name with no handle is skipped and listed so you can fix the row.

Can I use this for YouTube community shout-outs?

Yes. Switch the platform to YouTube to raise the character cap to 10,000 and allow hyphens in handles. The same copy-each-batch flow works for pinned comments and community posts.
